Jill Santoriello’s adaptation of “A Tale of Two Cities,” as presented by Ogden Musical Theatre, will run at the historic movie palace and cultural center from Thursday to March 1.

However, it could be argued that “A Tale of Two Cities” overplays the hand. There are times, too, when the narration from the original text becomes too cumbersome.

“When folks hear ‘A Tale of Two Cities,’ they tend to think of it as associated with homework, something not necessarily entertaining,” says Chris Moses, co-artistic director of the Alliance.
