DALLAS — Columbus Blue Jackets winger Kirill Marchenko, who has emerged as one of the NHL’s top young forwards this season, suffered a broken jaw in Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Stars, a team source has confirmed to The Athletic.

Kirill Marchenko, who leads the Blue Jackets with 21 goals, reportedly suffered a broken jaw after he was hit in the face by a stray puck while on the bench Sunday.

The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Blue Jackets (26-20-7), who lost defenseman Dante Fabbro and top scorer Kirill Marchenko to upper-body injuries and had star defenseman Zach Werenski miss time in the second period for a medical assessment.

Columbus' three-game win streak came to an end against the Stars with several Blue Jackets' status in question after the game.
