A n LGBTQ+ Pride parade ended in gunfire near New York City's historic Stonewall Inn on Sunday night, according to Mayor Eric Adams.

The 2025 theme is "Rise Up: Pride in Protest." The Stonewall Inn, now the site of the Stonewall National Monument on Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, is considered the birthplace of the gay rights movement.

Two people were shot near the Stonewall Inn, a historic New York City gay bar, on Sunday after the annual Pride march, according to the city’s police department. One person was shot in the head and was hospitalized in critical condition,
