Kyiv. Russian drones and missiles struck Ukrainian capital Kyiv early on Tuesday, June 17th, destroying an apartment building, residential structures, injuring up to 16 people, city officials said.

A recent set of prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine are an encouraging sign of detente, albeit a small one.

The attack used almost 500 drones and missiles, breaking a record set just days earlier, as Russia tries to overwhelm Ukraine’s air defenses, which shot down most of the weapons.
