A 16-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in Springfield from January, the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday. Springfield detectives arrested the 16-year-old — whose name is not being released due to their age — on Thursday in Chicopee in connection with the death of Springfield resident Semaj Brewster,

Keanu Harker, 18, was found with gunshot injuries on Great Cambridge Road in Enfield at about 20:45 BST last Thursday and died in hospital. The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court later on Tuesday.

The teen, who was not identified due to their age, is charged with the murder of Semaj Brewster, 19, on Jan. 12, prosecutors said Monday.
