Severe wind damage is apparent in Manatee County where neighbors there thought on Wednesday night, they would take the direct hit from Hurricane Milton as a Category 5 storm. It changed paths to Siesta Key and made landfall early.

Hurricane Milton's extreme winds left of mess of debris all around. On top of homes and businesses throughout much of Manatee County. Many residents braved long lines at any available gas stations to refuel for recovery efforts on Friday.

With 45% of the inspection completed, initial damage estimates by Manatee County released Saturday morning say 19 homes were completed destroyed by Hurricane Milton while 536 sustained major damage.
