James Gunn’s DC Universe officially got its start when his Superman movie was released, so naturally fans like us are extremely excited to learn more about what other upcoming DC movies will be part of the reboot.
Audiences just witnessed the emergence of a new big-screen Superman via the release of James Gunn’s movie of the same name. However, a few years ago, there was a point at which it seemed that Henry Cavill would return to play the Man of Steel.
“That was really unfortunate,” Gunn continued. “So Peter and I [thought] the right thing to do was to sit down with [Cavill] and talk to him. And we sat down and we talked to him. He was an absolute gentleman, a great guy about it. He said, ‘The only thing I ask is that I’m able to reveal it myself as opposed to it coming from you guys.'”
