Apple's iOS 26 preview page omits the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max from the list of supported devices. That tracks with previous rumors that the trio of phones would not be compatible with iOS 26. All three models debuted in 2018, meaning that they will turn seven years old in September.
While most iPhones that currently support iOS 18 will be able to use iOS 26, the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR are probably going to get cut from the compatibility list.
Phone XR and XS handsets are equipped with Apple's A12 Bionic chipset, while the 7th generation iPad (2019) carries an A10 Fusion chip.
