A "two week" deadline imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to see if Russia is serious about peace in Ukraine has been and gone, with Moscow's escalation of attacks on civilians during this period failing to draw the slightest condemnation from the White House.

Russian forces have launched a large-scale drone assault across Ukraine, where officials said three people were killed and 64 others wounded.

The attack originated from Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, with Ukrainian air defenses downing 23 drones through direct fire and suppressing or losing track of 20 via electronic warfare.
