Rapper and singer Doechii won her first BET Award on Monday night and used the opportunity to condemn the Trump administration’s militarized response to protests happening nearby in downtown Los Angeles.

The rap star used her acceptance speech to address protests against immigration raids in Los Angeles, to which Trump deployed National Guard troops on Monday.
