The Toronto Maple Leafs will start Joseph Woll in goal when they visit thre Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena on Tuesday. With the Maple Leafs having games on back-to-back nights, it was expected they would split duties between Woll and Anthony Stolarz.

Turns out it didn’t take quite that long. The debate is over with two weeks to go. Anthony Stolarz put an end to it. The 31-year-old has earned the opportunity to start in Game 1 of the playoffs for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It will be his first postseason start in the NHL.

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz recorded his second shutout of the season on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Stolarz stopped all 27 shots he faced against a desperate Blue Jackets team trying to punch their ticket to the playoffs to record his fifth consecutive victory.
