The Austin City Council will vote in July on a vision plan for Zilker Park that would include parking garages and new pedestrian and bicycle bridges.

Now garden lovers have the opportunity to take such a visit to Zilker Botanical Garden with the recent addition of an interactive virtual tour through zilkergarden.org.

Now cleanup of the park is underway. In the coming days, Austinites should have regular access to the pool, nature center and botanical gardens in the Barton Springs area.
