The Vancouver university's Dictionary of Canadianisms has been updated with many exclusively Canadian terms like bunny hug, maplewashing, ketchup chips.

A two-day festival celebrating "traditional gender norms and heterosexual awesomeness" called Hetero Awesome Fest was held on June 20-21, 2025, in Boise, Idaho.
