In preparation of a future city of 70,000 and a booming area of Moreton Bay, a new Woolworths and shopping centre has opened its doors for the first time.

Retail giant Woolworths is tripling home deliveries from April 20 to hundreds of residents stuck inside their homes on two of Moreton Bay's southern islands.

Woolworths will step up home deliveries to four Moreton Bay islands after hundreds of complaints after claims it planned to cut back home deliveries in the area.
