The Bridgeport man charged in the fatal beating of a 6-year-old boy now is accused of drugging a sexually assaulting a woman, according to police.

Shawnna White, a Bridgeport police spokeswoman, said officers were called to the area of Seaside Park on Sunday at about 8:45 p.m. for a crash involving a police officer.

Police in Bridgeport are asking for the public's help in finding the person who fatally shot a man in the city's 12th homicide of the year.
