RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia’s vehicle inspection stickers have been redesigned for 2019 to provide a reminder to drivers to follow the Commonwealth’s “Move Over” law.

The mayor of a small Virginia city refused to pull over as law enforcement officers chased him over an expired inspection sticker on his car, the sheriff said, and he now faces charges.

RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ/Virginia State Police Release) - Vehicles in Virginia that have passed safety inspections are receiving a new safety inspection sticker design to go with the arrival of a new year.

Messages left with Wright and Portsmouth Commonwealth's Attorney Stephan Morales weren't immediately returned. A majority of the city's 96,000 residents are black, and so is Wright. Watson is white.
