The legacy of the 1977 blockbuster “Saturday Night Fever” and its characters is “stayin’ alive” with a new bench plaque.

Since its opening in the 1960s, the Verrazzano Bridge has been the only direct connection from Brooklyn to Staten Island, making for a one long commute for Brooklynites and Staten Islanders.
