STEVENS POINT − A friend of a 20-year-old Rothschild man charged with being involved in the beating death of a 61-year-old man March 15 in Stevens Point took the stand Tuesday for the prosecution.

Lawrence D. McIntyre, whose sketches of landmarks and other buildings were featured weekly in The Buffalo News for more than two decades, died Monday in Harbor Health Care Center. He was 87.
