The Ultimate Warrior, one of professional wrestling’s biggest superstars, has died at 54, just days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, WWE officials confirmed in a statement.
Warrior came to the then-WWF in 1987 and was re-branded as The Ultimate Warrior. He had multiple stints in the WWE, ending in contract disputes, litigation and acrimony.
WWE superstars gathered on stage to open the show and fans in attendance were given Warrior masks to wear. After the montage, the bell was rung 10 times in his memory.
