TDOT says road construction won’t slow motorists traveling across Tennessee over the July 4th holiday weekend.

The crash happened near the Guthrie Court exit or mile marker 113 just before 5 a.m., according to TDOT’s SmartWay map.

Since Spetember, crews have been working to rebuild I-40 in Cocke County. The recent landslide did not impact their work, TDOT said.
