In a time before the automobile, everybody had their horse drawn cart or carriage, their personal “Surrey”. In fact, if I remember, as a kid, many people had donkeys too, in Nassau, pulling carts.

The surrey will be featured at the society's open house Dec. 1. The horse-drawn, four-wheeled, two-seat carriage is believed to been manufactured between 1907-1913 in Moline by the Velie Carriage Co.
