An all-time matchup will soon play out, with the Philadelphia Eagles set to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles and Chiefs will go head-to-head for the Lombardi Trophy on Feb.

Philadelphia will make its second Super Bowl appearance in three years. The team last reached the world championship after coach Nick Sirianni’s second season in 2022, when it faced Kansas City and lost a 38-35 thriller in Super Bowl 57.

The only players on the defensive side of the football who played more than 40% of snaps in 2022 and also in 2024 were Darius Slay, Josh Sweat and C.J. Gardner-Johnson — who ironically enough left for one season with the Lions before returning for this one.
