LISBON, Portugal (AP) — Aurélio Pereira, the Sporting Lisbon scout credited with discovering Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo, died on Tuesday, the club said. He was 77.

Sporting Lisbon paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo with the release of their new third kit and chose his son to model the No 7 inspired shirt.

Pereira had been responsible for Sporting's youth recruitment network since 1988 and brought several future stars to the club, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo.
