Estimated financial damage and losses to the complex were not immediately clear on Sunday evening, said Mike McClintock, battalion chief with the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

The crash, which involved an SUV, occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Garden Drive and Baseline Street, according to San Bernardino County Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike McClintock.

The fire is has burned approximately 478 acres with a "dangerous rate of spread" through heavy brush, firefighters said.

A fast-moving brush fire broke out in San Bernardino on Wednesday and quickly grew to more than 50 acres before firefighters brought the blaze under control in the late afternoon.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department was dispatched to the scene off of West 2nd and North D streets shortly before 3 p.m., said Battalion Chief Mike McClintock.
