Candidates for the upcoming elections in New Orleans and Orleans Parish qualified on Friday, July 11, including higher-profile races for Mayor and Orleans Parish Sheriff.

This October, the people of New Orleans will get to choose the city’s next leaders, including a new mayor, the next sheriff, and several city council seats.

Lesli Harris, New Orleans Councilmember for District B, Chelsey Richard Napoleon, Civil District Court Clerk and Dwight McKenna, Orleans Parish Coroner and New Orleans all ran unopposed.
