A tornado warning has been issued this morning for a portion of Polk County, including Des Moines, Ankeny, Altoona, Saylorville, Bondurant. That warning is expected to remain in effect until 6:45 a.m.

The section of Park Avenue in Des Moines will be closed until Aug. 22, except to residents who need to access their homes.
