Preservation groups are discussing how to protect a portion of the Oregon-California Trail in Nebraska during construction of an electrical transmission line.

I grew up along the Platte River in Nebraska. I knew from history lessons that the roads I traveled to visit family up and down the river valley were built along the Oregon Trail.
