One Boston reporter learned that lesson the hard way Tuesday when they received a scolding from the Patriots’ Super Bowl-winning linebacker-turned-head coach at a press conference after posing a similar question that Vrabel had already answered about how players utilized their time away from the facility.

Mike Vrabel is surely glad to be back in New England. The coach was a legendary player who did a lot of winning with the Patriots, and it was always assumed that he would find his way back in New England one way or another.

For his pre-practice press conference prior to the team’s first official day of training camp, Vrabel strode to the microphone on Wednesday with a puppy named Nash clutched under his arm. It’s part of the team’s second Pet Adoption Day (sponsored by the Kraft family via The Patriots Foundation in coordination with local animal shelters).
