Nintendo announced the new Switch 2, and fans were able to score a closer look at the hybrid gaming console with Nintendo Direct on April 2. However, the release date of the new gaming console wasn’t released until earlier this morning.

At long last, Nintendo has confirmed the release date for the Switch 2 – the Switch's long-awaited successor will launch on June 5. Mercifully, that means that there's not too much longer to wait for it.

Don't get me wrong, handheld gaming PCs like the Asus ROG Ally, MSI Claw 8 AI+, and the Lenovo Legion Go are all still an easy choice over the Switch 2 as they more than likely still have more powerful hardware (as we don't know the exact specs of Nvidia's chip just yet).
