The new, all-electric Volvo EX30 Cross Country is ready for adventures in the snow, mud, or whatever terrain you might throw at it.

Volvo has revealed a new, tougher version of its EX30 compact electric SUV, as it fits the Cross Country badge to an electric car for the very first time.

Volvo has introduced the EX30 Cross Country, a version of its fully electric small SUV designed with off-road capabilities. The vehicle was revealed during an event in Sweden in collaboration with outdoor equipment brand Fjällräven.

Inside, the EX30 Cross Country looks identical to its asphalt-only counterpart. A vertically oriented 12.3-inch infotainment display also contains the driver information gauges and runs Volvo’s Google-based interface. You can also use Apple CarPlay, and instead of speakers in the doors, there is a single soundbar spanning across the dashboard.

Cross Country is a name that’s adorned plenty of Volvos in the past 25 years, and after the firm recently brought it back on the new all-electric EX30 Cross Country, it has hinted to Auto Express that more Cross Country EVs are on the way.
