The tech titan and his wife once had sprawling ambitions for their Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Now their efforts in politics, education and housing have been cut back to focus on science.

Skanska yesterday marked the topping out of the 35,768-sq-m Living and Learning Center, a student accommodation building for Boston’s Simmons University.

Construction has topped out on Skanska’s Artificial Intelligence and Quantitative Biology building at New York’s Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL).
