After a winter storm left blankets of snow across the DMV, crews took to the roads and sidewalks in Montgomery County on Wednesday to treat the icy conditions.

Parts of Kansas are still recovering from record-breaking snowfall. Now that counties and crews are caught up, they are reviewing what worked and what they need to improve.

The first winter weather event of the year is expected in central Kansas, with the National Weather Service already issuing watches for the weekend.
