STARKVILLE — Brian O'Connor signed a four-year contract worth an average of $2.9 million annually as the new Mississippi State baseball coach, according to a terms sheet distributed to media at his public introduction on June 5.

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State baseball is retaining pitching coach Justin Parker on Brian O'Connor's staff. Parker will serve in that same role, MSU announced on June 5. He was the interim coach after Chris Lemonis was fired on April 28, and led MSU (36-23) to a 9-1 finish to the regular season and the Tallahassee Regional final.
