Two men were arrested on several drug charges following a lengthy investigation by the Gates County Sheriff’s Office.

A man who was already facing charges for reportedly abducting his ex-girlfriend in Matthews is now facing charges after the Union County Sheriff's Office said he did so again roughly a month later.

There was an "active shooter" incident in Cherokee County around 2:15 p.m. today, according to E-911 communications in Cherokee County and State Highway Patrol.

McDowell, Williams and Mendiola remains in custody. Mendiola has a hold from the Cobb County Juvenile Court. Adams does not appear in jail records.
