Gov. Jeff Landry named Lafourche Parish President Archie Chaisson III as the leader of the state's new Office of Louisiana Highway Construction.

Archie Chaisson will become the executive director of the newly created Office of Louisiana Highway Construction.

Lafourche Parish President announced his resignation Wednesday, July 16, 2025 during a meeting with parish employees. Chaisson said that he would be leaving office on August 1, 2025.
