Excited to watch some anime on your Nintendo Switch 2? Well, too damn bad.Nothing is sacred, especially anime. However, the Crunchyroll app is just one of 100+ identified software casualties that will not be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch.

The Switch 2 is backwards compatible with Switch games, but it uses emulation to run those older titles, so it isn't playing these games natively. It works for the most part—Nintendo says virtually all first-party Switch 1 games can run on Switch 2 without issue,

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to play most original Switch games without any issues when it launches on June 5. According to an update from Nintendo, most big games and all first-party titles (with one tiny exception) will work on Switch 2, though you might need an update or an old Joy-Con.
