Manchester City winger Lauren Hemp has been sidelined with a knee injury since November and is yet to return to action as the Women's Super League season passes the midway point. The 24-year-old initially missed City's Champions League clash against Hammary and WSL defeat against Chelsea at the beginning of November before it was eventually confirmed she had undergone surgery on a knee injury.

Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp have both stepped up their recoveries from knee injuries with a return to on-pitch training, Manchester City Women head coach Gareth Taylor has said. The two England internationals both suffered their respective knee injuries towards the end of 2024 and have not played since.
