DUNDEE, Fla. — The body of a missing kayaker was found early Monday morning in Lake Annie after his friends reported him missing just hours earlier, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Lake Weohyakapka, also known as Lake Walk-in-Water, is a 7,528-acre lake just west of Indian Lake Estates in far eastern Polk County. It’s 22 nd in the state with an estimated 195 alligators.

Officials said the man went out on the lake on his kayak around 3:30 p.m., Sunday. His friends went out on the lake around 5 p.m. where they found the empty kayak turned upside down on the water.
