Ashley Moser's flourishing TV career has brought her to KSL-TV, where she'll join Mike Headrick as co-anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast and will also report for the 10 p.m. newscast.

His shift to TV started with a stop in Salt Lake City in 1964 to visit his brother. Nourse said he was on his way to a job in Sacramento when KSL offered him a position and the rest is history.

Dick Nourse, who delivered the news to generations of Utahns as the lead anchor at KSL-TV for 43 years, has died. Nourse’s death was reported by KSL on Thursday. He was 83.

KSL television began broadcasting on June 1, 1949, and the TV titan has been plugged in ever since. The Deseret News, which owned KSL in the early days, even commemorated the event 76 years ago ...

Nourse joined the KSL 5 news team in 1964, picking up the weekday anchor gig in just six months. The friendly face finalized his career in 2007, after 43 years with KSL.
