A month ago, HBO did a special on the Miracle. I watched, I wept again after 22 years. Ninety percent of Americans, in recalling 2/22/80, remember it as a gold-medal whipping of the mighty Russians.

There is only one Miracle on Ice. It happened on Feb. 22, 1980 — 45 years ago last week.
