JANESVILLE — It’s happened a few times before in the 20 years the Janesville Golden “K” Kiwanis has run its Truck on Ice contest. Winter in southern Wisconsin usually means frozen ponds.

JANESVILLE — Blackhawk Golden “K” Kiwanis Club member Dave Thill spun the wooden, glass raffle box filled with 4,307 tickets during the clubs annual Truck-on-Ice fundraiser, on Wednesday.

This year, there's not enough ice to make it happen. Club members say they hope to get back on track next winter. The Janesville Golden K Kiwanis normally puts a truck on Traxler Pond.
