More than 250,000 Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled by Honda, according to a recall notice posted by the NHTSA.

Honda is recalling more than 259,000 of its cars across the U.S. due to a problem that can cause the brake pedal to shift out of position, potentially interfering with a driver's ability to stop or slow down.

Hondas are known for being some of the sturdiest vehicles out there, but no automaker is immune to quality control issues. As of June 12, more than 259,000 late-model Honda and Acura units are subject to a recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over a slightly surprising issue.
