Severe weather rolled through the western Carolinas on Wednesday afternoon, leaving downed trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch Wednesday afternoon for the Upstate, western North Carolina and northeast Georgia.
