The Giants have traded first baseman LaMonte Wade to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash, the team announced Sunday. San Francisco also sent out money in the deal.

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired veteran first baseman and outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. and cash from the San Francisco Giants.

After LaMonte Wade Jr's "early season struggles" continued throughout late May, the Giants had to cut ties with him.
