Gateway, the famous cow-spotted PC brand of the ‘90s and early 2000s, is reentering the modern computer world with a brand-new line of laptops.

Gateway might be an unfamiliar name to many laptop owners, but it's been around for a long time. In fact, Gateway started out on its own, then later absorbed eMachines in 2004.

Gateway computers were a common site at PC stores in the 1990s and early 2000s before eventually disappearing into computer history after Acer acquired the company and eventually retired the brand.

Acer, which acquired Gateway in 2007, is bringing back the brand to sell consumer-focused laptops in the US. The products will be sold exclusively through Walmart.
