The hectic, high-speed insanity of any race in the new Mario Kart World would have caused the eight-year-old Switch console to wheeze a bit. And that's why we've got the Switch 2 ($449.99), the souped-up sequel to Nintendo's popular home-and-portable hybrid.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is launching at a price of $449. There is a limited-time bundle that includes Mario Kart World that costs $499 (which, considering the game itself will retail for $79.99, is a good deal if you plan to buy Mario Kart anyway.)

With all of these stores, we've seen the Mario Kart World bundle available in greater quantities online than the base console, which costs $50 less. But given that Mario Kart is the Switch 2's biggest launch game and retails for $80 on its own, that may not be the worst thing.
