Classic rocker Steve Miller has canceled his U.S. tour because he said severe weather including extreme heat and unpredictable flooding poses a danger to his band, its fans and crew. The tour was set to kick off in August and run through early November,

The band cites extreme weather events, such as the floods in Texas and wildfires in California, as reasons for canceling the 31-date trek.

The calamitous weather of recent years has taken many lives, caused billions of dollars' worth of damage and is changing the climate and economies of countries all over the glove.
