By the time the Pennsylvania bank barn of the 1820s had evolved into an efficient farming structure, it also featured a hooded cantilever entrance to the rear feedway at the gable end of the barn.

The Friends of Nolde Forest are raising funds for the restoration of the historic bank barn at the entrance to the park. Repairs to the crumbling foundation walls are needed.
