Abstract: Endotracheal intubation is one of the most common procedures performed worldwide in emergency departments and operating rooms. It is a highly complicated procedure susceptible to failure.
Of the first 4000 incidents reported to AIMS, 160 (4%) dealt with problems with endotracheal intubation. There was one cardiac arrest which was successfully resuscitated. No deaths were reported.
