NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Six East Tennessee sites received multi-thousand-dollar grants to support economic development projects in rural areas, Gov. Bill Lee announced Wednesday.

The East Tennessee Foundation has awarded 118 grants totaling more than $5 million to aid in the region’s long-term recovery and communities impacted by Hurricane Helene, according to a news release.
